A few years ago, human resources (HR) tech provider Sprout Solutions played with the idea of using artificial intelligence (AI) in helping companies and HR practitioners with their everyday tasks. Now, it’s become a reality.
During the Sprout Solutions Next Gen HR Summit held on February 27 at the Crowne Plaza Ortigas, HR leaders came together to widen their network, compare notes on their challenges, and explore the evolving landscape of human resources.
A key term during the event was “actionable foresight,” which Sprout VP of Growth Renzo Belardo explains as having the initiative and knowledge to take action amid the rise of new advancements.
“HR is not just the back office function of companies, it’s the beating heart of offices today,” Belardo said. “We’re strategizing how AI can predict turnover and how to build cultures that can thrive in hybrid and global workplaces.”
The whole-day seminar tackled a variety of rising issues in the workplace, such as work-life harmony, generational differences, upskilling, and more. Work-life harmony, in particular, became an important talking point in getting the most out of one’s personal and professional life, as we’re now experimenting with different types of work setups.
Another key takeaway from the summit was the growing need for critical thinking in the age of AI. With nearly 75% of companies expected to adopt AI by 2027, responsible AI usage and regulations are essential.
Recognizing this, Sprout Solutions introduced Project Olympus, their biggest transformation to date. Designed to enhance HR productivity while prioritizing ethical AI use, Project Olympus represents Sprout’s commitment to empowering organizations with tools that can help, not replace, employees.
At its core, Project Olympus is the complete overhaul and transformation of Sprout’s dashboard, which now introduces powerful capabilities like AI concierge agents that can showcase payroll transactions and a more intuitive dashboard for both employees and HR professionals. Sprout’s chief product and AI officer Gian de la Rama explained that Project Olympus is the ultimate HR + payroll + ecosystem + AI solution of Sprout.
Ultimately, the consensus at the summit was clear: Embracing tech is crucial, but not at the cost of losing the human touch. By prioritizing actionable foresight, as Belardo mentioned, companies can meet the demands of the modern workforce while building people-first workplaces that can thrive. – Rappler.com
